Why You Should be Writing About Pilates

Writing about Pilates is a relevant thing. Even more so if you are in the US and outside of a major city. People need more education about Pilates. There are a lot of people that still think Pilates is the same thing as Yoga. How can we change this? Write about it!

Write about Pilates in a simple way. Write as if you are talking to someone that knows nothing about Pilates. What would you say to them? Would you use technical terms? Would you write quotes from Joseph Pilates if they have no clue that Pilates was a person? Probably not.

If we want more people in our studios making the most of their bodies and living awesome lives to the fullest through this work we have to tell them about it. We have to tell them why. We can’t expect them to know. Isn’t it exciting that we get to be the ones to tell them? I always feel so honored when I get to be the first person to teach someone Pilates. I love getting to share this movement practice from my perspective. We don’t always know the impact our writing has on people but it is still pretty exciting to share it with someone for the first time.
We have to share with people how amazing Pilates is. We have to tell people what Pilates can do for them. We have to share how we are the people that can help them feel better and accomplish their goals. But we can’t do that if we don’t write. We can’t reach more people if we keep this stuff to ourselves. We can’t grow our businesses if we don’t get more people in the door.
