New to Pilates? It's Good to Be A Beginner!

Are you a beginner with Pilates? You’ve come to the right place! Pilates is an exercise method like no other. Why? Because it’s so much fun! You learn to love Pilates and your body craves it. Pilates works with what you have to offer to the movement right now. You don’t need to compete with what you did last week or last year. You don’t need to compete with anyone around you either. Pilates is not about being the best of all time. Pilates is about learning to move your body in the best way possible. I want to help you do that!

If you’ve never tried Pilates before, I am honored to be the one to introduce you to this method. There is something special about the process of helping you learn how to do this movement. I am a very patient teacher and I’m really good at teaching online Pilates. I give you clear instructions on how to set your body up for the movement and get moving in just the right way for you. I use images to help you understand the exercises. I help you to understand what you are doing the movement for. And I love questions! I ask you questions about how the movement feels in your body and I encourage you to ask me questions. I believe that’s where the real learning happens. 

"I don’t feel like I have to be perfect in your classes and explore movement.” One of my clients said this to me years ago and it’s still true today. I have an idea of what I want things to look like but that’s not always what works for everyone. I want you to try things and see how the movement feels for you. I want you to learn what works for you. 

When you do your first private Pilates session with me, I teach you basic movements so you can learn the movement we can build on. I learn how your body moves and we can develop a program tailored to your goals and what your body needs. Once you understand those things then we work toward finding what challenges your body. I want to introduce you to Pilates, not force it on you. I want you to feel strong and like you can do anything you need to with your body. I want you to feel stronger when you pick up your kids or grandkids instead of like you might hurt your back. I want you to feel like you can walk as far as you want to with your spouse after dinner instead of needing to turn around after a mile. I want to introduce you to the movement that will help you feel like you are strong, balanced and ready for the day instead of beaten down and exhausted.
